MINUTE OF MEETING  GROUP 4B SITE NO.8

CHAIRMAN REMARK

The chairman begins the meeting with salam remarks and welcome to the members who present in the meeting.

MINUTE 1 : DIVIDE THREE GROUP FOR DISCUSSION

After the Crit Session on Monday, we modify our problem of the site analysis. The chairman had came out with the solutions to solve those problems. Chairman had rearranged the duty of the members.

All member are divided to three group. First Group 1 for the dimension. Second Group 2 for facilities. All member are start the works by following the task that divided. All member is discussing by sub-group and sketch or do into the A1 butter paper for the Crit Session.

·         Group 1 for the dimension (Tally information and location of site analysis) :

Task A - Dimension and orientation site

Task F - Topography and landscape

Task G - Condition facility traffic and pedestrian

Task C - Profile of land and soil

The information of Task A,F,G are collect and combine it for the layout plan. The layout plan of the site is draw by the group member with using the scale 1:100.

·         Dimension of the site :12 m

·         Dimension of the pavement : 2.5 m

·         Dimension of the road : 7 m

·         Type of trees : 1)  Angsana tree

                        Height: 30 m - 48 m,  Pterocarpus indicus, Hardwood.

                   2) Bunga Tanjung

                       Height: 3 m, Tradisional medicinal (leaf), For shade

                            

                   3) Coconut Trees

                       Height: 6 m-30 m, member of family arecaceae(palm family), products for furnising and decorative(leaf)

                   4) Pokok Dedaun Alam

                       Pelargonium radula,decorative leaf, repel mosquitoes because of the strong like aerosal.

·         Type of soil : Fine soil sand

                      1) Site - wet and sticky

                                 - dry soil

                      2) North - Dry soil

                      3) South - Dry soil

·         Ground level :

Task B - The existing structures in and around the site

Task D - Services in the vicinity of the site

               *playground,information board,pedestrian walkway, bench, lamp post, rubbish bin,gazebo.

           Task H - Public facilities

·         Third Group 3 for condition:

      Task E- Temperature, humidity and wind

                    1) Temperature: Max-35C     

                                               Min-31.9C

                                               Average- 31.35C

                    2) Humidity       : Max-63.6%

                                               Min- 53.6%

                                               Average- 53.67%

                    3) Wind            : Max-5.5m/s(west)-around 2 pm

                                              Min-0.0m/s(south)-around 11.30 pm

          

       Task I - Obstacles on site and around the site

-All of this need to proceed to A1 butter paper for the crit session.
-All member must present to other member what they do after complete in butter paper.

MINUTE 2 : IDEA AND CONCEPT OF THE PAVILION

Chairman remind all member needs to come out with idea for the Royal Pavilion.

MINUTE 3 : REPORT UPDATE

Chairman mention secretary for updating the progress report.

MINUTE 4 : SWOT ANALYSIS

Each of the member brain storm for the swot analysis of the site.

1. Strength 

·                     Scenery (Lake)

·                    Availability of road

·                     Abundance of facilities

·                     Walkway ; access to pavilion

·                     Flat land surface

·                     Lake ; reduce surrounding temperature

·                     Near to the parking space

2. Weakness

·                     Small site 

·                     Out dated facilities 

·                     Near to the lake (Safety)

3. Opportunity

·                     High radiation ; installation of photovoltaic cell (Good for GBI) ; natural lighting

·                     Suitable ambiance for relaxing

4. Treat

·                     Noise pollution (Event)

·                     High Traffic Volume during event

The chairman closes the meeting with remarks of thank you to the members who attend and the next meeting will be held on this Wednesday for the precedent studies, concept design sketch and bubble diagram. Design team and planner compulsory attend.
